Ugh, this one is disturbingly true, the worst is when you think you hear a REK.

I remember I played Metroid Prime once for like 2 days straight, I was tired, hungry, etc. When I woke up after falling to sleep once, I saw that I had been killed, as I fell asleep in the middle of a fight. I got really pissed and actually saw a targetting reticule appear over my gamecube and I brought up my right hand to blast it before I realized that I wasn't in the game.
