I bought this game used off of eBay. I just wanted to get the software and didn't realize they had a download at the time.
So I liked it and bought a $40 game card, but it won't let me renew my subscription!! I also can't even use the card to create a new account. I will go postal if they won't allow you to use the game if you weren't the original owner. The CD key on the case does absolutely nothing, all it is is another activation code. The original owner used that up. I tried the 7 day that was still remaning. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is totally nuts. |

Never, never, NEVER buy an MMO game USED. If it's been used, that means it's CD key has already been used and tied to the origional owners account. Luckily, PS has a second CD key for a 7 day trial. If that doesn't work, well, you're screwed my friend.
EDIT: Dipstick here missed the last few lines of the post. Since the 7 day key was used up, you're screwed. Sorry. Last edited by X-113; 2003-07-19 at 04:00 PM. |

Now I know. I thought that there would be a cd-key and it would only allow one user of that key to be on at a time, which isn't an issue if the original owner no longer plays.
But it's all activation codes now, so I had to buy the game to reactivate from the 7-day trial. Oh well. |
