The new greif system sucks.

I played for about an hour today and managed to rack up over 300 greif. I played like I normally did. I kept getting 50 greif at a time for a single stray shot. Anyone else agree with me?

They changed the grief system? I thought it always sucked though. Oh well.

You should not be getting 50 grief for one shot.

2. Grief Points work on a sliding scale, where grief accumulates faster as a player accumulates more points in a brief period of time. The threshold for grief accumulation to begin moving up this sliding scale has been increased. This should reduce the grief generated in extended vehicle collisions.

Anything else is probably a bug.

I think it was fine the way it was.

Personally i never liked the grief system because i cannot control my shots after I fire and just because some ally downrange happens to walk/run into my shot I get grief points. I can see grief points if I or any other ally intentionally shots someone.
Pretty much a moot point seeing how i cannot even get logged into Markov because I have been griefed banned for 20 minutes last nite and I was able to determine that my grief points now before being disco'd is under 900 but the timer is still running.

I dont seem to have a problem with the grief points. Today in total i reach a max of 10 points. And ive been playing for about 5 hours.

Heh. Nice implementation of it.

If two vehicles are 'stuck' together, be prepared to see +1, +7, +58, +276.. oh, yeah, it's based on a timer alright.

Got weapons lock today because my magrider autodrove into an ANT and was in that vehicle-crunch mode for about 10 seconds. The ANT didn't even suffer half damage and I got well over 350 grief for it.

I wonder if i never get too much grief cuz when i play the morons arent online? Well anyway i think the most grief ive gotten is around 40. But uh i only get it because of stupid ppl are in my line of fire which they can plainly see...Of course one time i "accidentally" hit someone with an ant cuz he seemed to jump into my tire...ah well..
