Thoughts on the patch.

I just played for about 40 minutes today after downloading the patch. Since I wanted to see the new lasher, I went on my br7 vanu char on markov. Using nothing but 5 medpacks, agile armor, a lasher, 150 rounds, and 3 grenades I got 130-140 kills in about 40 minutes. No i'm not making this number up, i saw the number of kills before i entered the game and the number after. Not exactly but an estimate (example=60 instead of 63). And no I'm not saying i'm a ps god, i'm very far from being skilled with a lasher, I only actually have used it about 10 times.
Now i'm not going "NERF DA LASHER! IT'S TEH GAY!", i find the changes hillarious, haven't had that much fun since I bought the damn game.
But yeah, it is a little overpowered. I just find it really really funny how I can spam it without aiming even a little bit at a full hp reinforced armor fresh from the spawn tubes at about 30 meters away from me and watch him fall in 4-5 seconds after spamming the disco balls. I think they need to make the firing rate just a little less. Whatever they increased it, I think they should decrease that percent by about 20%. I like the changes, I like them alot, but they're just a little bit too much. What does anyone else think?

Now half of VS use the lasher. I cant count how many times ive been killed by it now from 12 idiots spamming it at 1 enemy. (im VS btw)

I dunno. I look at it as a challenge. it's not that overpowering. making the lash effect friendlies would go a long way to "fixing" the lasher. of course it would probably complicate grief or whatever.

atleast I feel somewhat decent now when I kill Vanu. before I usually ignored most Vanu while killing them with the JH.

now I have to fight them.

I was looking forward to getting into PlanetSide and being with the underdog Vanu. I'm basically just an infantry guy so I was gonna go with heavy assault.

Looks like i'll just be another super newbie now.
