Seriously? Capturing bases the current way isn't the problem with the game.
Sure it's not all that great, but once you fuck everyone up at the base, GO TO THE NEXT ONE. I've never seen any problem with that. You get more xp if you're fighting than if you sit there after you've hacked the base. What's the problem with the current system???

well...
the only real problem is the lack of benefits that the bases have. And a reason to lock continents. And a reason to defend the base. That is what is wrong with the current system. But... wait for it... The new system solves none of those. If anything they make it worse.

That's my point. The actual hacking and capping system is fine.
They need to implement the fucking base things they said they were going to do. Sanctuary strikes.

I might have said this before. I KNOW I said it in the OF.
They promised so much stuff about Defense, incentives for capturing and defending bases, locking continents for an actual reason. ect... but instead the hit us with something they only alluded to. Something rarely complained about. We got blind sighted. For goodness sake I don't see people killing Generators on a hacked base anymore. We finally trained them on how the capping system works. Now they change it? I just don't see it working like they want it to. I have a feelingthat starving a base will be easier and more fun then the LLU. I know that is what I'll push for.

Yes there ruining the game every day lol i would prefer points for defense and capping towers anyone here ever fight for a tower for half an hour. when you finally break through and get tower nothing.
Maybe add a hold time on tower hacks 5 mins or something that would enhance the gameplay and probobaly take less time to implement. Any how peace out Term |

Personally i think its too big of a change for a game that is still pretty new. Stuff like this is suppose to be ironed out in beta, not changed suddenly during retail. If this goes in PS will be completely different from how it is now. Im sure that everyone maintaining a subscription right now isnt paying for the game because it isnt fun, so why change it.
I cant play right now either. Not because of any real problem, its just that i refuse to play when there is such a huge exploit in-game .... Ok, i lied, i did play. But in a 30 min playing session i suffered from huge connection lag during a large battle, and then died twice from 2 different bugs just trying to get out of the sanctuary. |

id like better defenses in a base (like underground) that players can take part in, like small turrets on walls or celings. Expanding the bases variety, and maybe making "cave" bases, air bases, and ever water bases (along with water vechiles). put thoes in before you mess with capping. New vechiles are always fun (so long as their fair) and it might be nice to get more empire specific vechiles.

The problem is that the large majority of the battles currently occur indoors. Indoors, HA and MAXs rule. This is the reason why you see a lot more MAXs than heavy tanks running around. MAXs don't have as much firepower as a heavy tank, but they have the advantage of getting inside. Inside, they're only threat is infantry, which if they're an AI MAX, they'll just tear the opposition apart. The changes are to try and spread out the amount of roles needed for a base cap. Right now, the most "effecient" way to cap a base is probably 5 AI MAXs, 2 engies, 2 adv meds, and a hacker. This could tear down most of the attacks thrown at them. SOE sees this and think, "Hey, we gotta change this." instead of listening to the more major problems the community, the people who experience this game first-hand, are presenting. To be Frank, the Planetside devs are horrible, and you know this as well as I do. |

I gave up on PS long before now. I'm tired of fighting over the same bases all day, taking a few, and then the next day starting over again. What's the point? I can play by myself and accomplish the same thing over and over again, without spending 13 bucks a month.

decimators own maxes. your 5 man AI max team is food for spec assault troops.
more exp does not equal depth for Planetside. however, the masses like exp so it has to be considered. what's the point of playing basketball, or soccer, or football? the field of play and rules remain the same. all that changes are the players and at the end of a game you win or you lose. hell, some people play for fun and don't count score. the game has many flaws, but it remains fun for me because it remains challenging. |
