Cable Internet Problem

Hello all , about 2 weeks ago my cable internet went out so we called the service guy and he traced the problem to the modem. He gave us a new one and everything was fine for about a week. Then I started to notice that every half hour my internet gets really slow , for example i was playing a game of cs and my ping jumps into the 800's - 1000's . So I checked out all my connections and they seemed fine but I noticed the the cable guy installed these little black "filters" i guess they are called between the coax cable and the crimp on connector. Could this be a reason to the slowing? Thanx for any help

Sounds like network issues, nothing on your end IMO. I would call them

Yeah thats what hope I wouldnt have to do because its a pain in the butt. Thanx anyways though
