Platoons not coming for a while

1) Platoons will not be part of an expansion. They will be a part of an update patch.
2) Scheduling has not been determined for them. They are coming and we want to put them into your hands, but they are not slated for an August or Spetember patch.

At least they're coming out and squashing the platoons in the expansion rumor.

Unfortunately, judging from the constantly dropping population I'm growing concerned that by the time platoons exist it will be rare to have enough people on to make it worthwhile.

Anybody else from beta remember when they said Platoons were coming soon? If 6 months is soon by their jargon, we won't see an expansion for 5 years.

I'll believe it when I see it. The liberator was supposed to be out in 2 weeks, and it barely made it under 5.

I'm really depressed right now. Don't get me wrong I'll stay in Planetside for a long time to come. But, at this rate the Devs are going. There's not going to be enough people left to have Platoons. If it takes months of posts and complains to get one thing, this Planetside is gonna turn into a "Whocareside" With all the new games that are gonna come out in the next few months, the PS population is gonna drop like PeeWee Herman fighting Mike Tyson.

Yeah, there probably won't be enough people for platoons to make sense by then. Half the population has dropped off already. HAH, and we used to complain Emerald had TOO many people. Now its the other way around.

The sad thing is that according to planetsidegaming.com 57.51% of people are playing on Markov. I haven't seen Markov with more than 3 dots in weeks. I normally don't have issues finding some decent fights on Johari, but there have been a few nights recently where I feel like the only person on a continent at any given time when I'm soloing.
