I don't think that's possible.

I was looking for signs of image tampering.. only thing I could find was that some of the lock icons are different than the others.

I don't think it's possible to Empire Pop lock ALL continents.

Prolly just a bug or some crazy shit the devs are doing to toy with our minds. Last night at around 3am i saw every base on Solsar drain within a few minutes. The entire continent was green.

This happens if you crash to the desktop after the hart takes off and you quickly reload the game trying to get back in

Well I can tell you for sure I did not doctor it... took a regular screenshot opened it up in paint, converted it to jpeg to save space.

Probably is a bug, but still was annoying and surprising as heck. Weird thing was I was about ready to drop my pod into one of the continents then it kicked me out (back to global) cause it just got pop locked, so dunno.

Once again, I assure you, this is a REAL SS. It COULD be due to a bug however.

I should've turned the weather on so it could be more obvious that it's a real SS, but oh well. I hate having weather on cause it obstructs a large portion of the map so you can't see a lot of what you want to.

At least the sanctuars wasn't pop locked unlike on Monday on werner when the sanc became pop locked and no-one on the TR could log in

After looking at the SS carefully i have come to this conclusion.

wtf are you talking about - duh the picture's not gonna be totally clear cause I converted it to jpeg which distorts the image.

Bitmaps are MB's in size so it'd make much more sense to convert it to a smaller format (~200kB) so people can see what I saw, rather than have them overanalyze a screenshot to see if it was doctored or not.

And after taking a look at the SS myself more carefully, I have determined that it definitely has to be due to a bug (I think someone above posted that this could happen if you crashed on the HART - which I think happened, I remember boarding it and then crashing and logging back in ASAP to make sure I didn't miss it). If you look at Forseral and Hossin, it would be VERY unlikely that it'd be pop-locked considering there's absolutely no VS bases on it.

So, picture of a bug, yes... doctored SS, no. Can someone please back me up here and explain that this is a bug, perhaps repeatable?

Yes, that's EXACTLY what happened to me... I was entering the HART and I crashed, then immediately I logged back in and caught it before it left. Then I saw this

I just happened to take a SS of it and upload it.

And I reitterate my point about bitmaps being converted to jpegs resulting in being distorted. Try it out for yourself. Do you know how the size gets reduced so much? It doesn't just magically happen.

AND to disprove you, take a look at the in-game map closely. Look at the area where you said "darkness" existed. What's that? Oh right, there's a dark spot there! Duh! And the lightness? Oh, yeah that's bright blue, for the water that's along the coast!
