Viaznikova said her team's method consistently yields 10 billionths of a gram of DNA, on average, from a single fingerprint. The findings were revealed at the American Society for Microbiology's nanotechnology conference in New York earlier this month. Although 10 "nanograms" might not sound like much, for DNA analysis, even 0.1 nanogram is enough, Viaznikova said. "Scientists try not to use less than 5 to 10 nanograms, so this is fine."
Science is amazing.

10 billionths of a gram. That's really really really really small.

Indeed. Now when they print you at the station (not that I would know anything about that :innocentwhistle: ) they could also get your DNA.

Yes but our goverment has done great things for mankind thru our impressive american research.

We've invented the 10,000 dollar toilet roller, the 3000 dollar hammer, and also our greatest invention was the amazing 50,000 dollar Seat cushion. That is were all of our billions of dollars are going.

We invent more pratical things, like the amazing invention that can scramble an egg while still inside its shell and the 2 for one deal on infomercals.

So much for "Real" Canadian Research
