Now I feel like a gunner for a real tank....

Ever since the new patch, I have noticed a new bug/annoyance. When in the Prowler in the maingun or the MG, the screen "vibrates" (for a lack of a better description). This only happens when the Prowler moves. If the prowler is not moving the image is still. I joked with my outfit that someone is probably going to have a seisure from playing in this position. It's very disorienting. Has anyone seen this besides my squadmates and I? I reported the bug/annoyance via the "/bug" command. Hope it helps.

I vibrate in the Vanguard all the time. Havent vibrated in the Magrider yet tho. It is very inconsistant and I havent been able to test it thoroughly, but I bet reloging fixes it

Seems like I read a blurb from Spork claiming it was a by-product of the new Karma upgrade and it will be addressed/fixed. But then again, their "fix" record isnt all that impressive.

I don't think it's a bug. Do you think tanks have shocks and ride smoothly? NO! Take a big SUV with no shocks, then drive it accross a bunch of rail road tracks, and try to stand on top firing an AK at a target. Aint-a-gonna-happin. The tank turret (aka, Vibrator) doesn't bother me.

At least they see it as an issue to be resolved. Thanks for the info Cease.

Tanks have very impressive shock absorbing sytems. Maybe not so much for the occupants, but for accuracy during movement and keeping the parts of the tank from breaking during off road high speed maneuvers. So, sure, there might be some noise and minor vibrations, but tanks are pretty smooth rides considering the terrain they traverse. Better than any SUV you can buy commercially.

What I'm trying to say is that the Turret isn't going to be perfectly still. It's gonna vibrate.

Actually, modern tanks have one of the smootest rides around. I spent 6 years in the Marines and I was always impressed by how smooth the ride was. It's like riding in a big Cadillac with a gun on top.

The guns have gyros to keep them stable. M1 Abrams have no problems hitting targets while moving.

Light armored artillery would be a nice addition. That requires coordination between a scout and the mobile artillery unit. I like it...anything to add to the teamwork.

There already is light armored arty in the game. They're called Lightnings.

Want a more durable arty platform with self-contained AA and AV assets? Bring out the Sunderers.
