TR MAX question

Okay, we know that a TR MAX has dual weapons: bursters, pounders, heavy chainguns. Can a TR MAX fire one at a time in case it wants to conserve ammunition? Or does it always have to fire both weapons?

i would guess that the weapons draw ammo from a single source, so it wouldn't really matter which you shot out of.

i doubt there is control over each gun. you press fire, they shoot.

You'd accomplish the same thing if you simply went easy on the fire button while using both weapons. Fire in bursts and only when you have a clear shot if you're worried about ammunition. The only way firing two guns at once will waste more ammunition is if you miss, after all.

Going easy on the fire button is going to be even more important when it comes to TR weapons since they have the highest rate of fire of the three empires. Kind of brings "spray and pray" to a new level.

A high rate of fire would lead one to believe that they'll have problems with recoil if they simply hold the trigger down. No, I'd imagine most experienced TR players won't "spray and pray". They'll fire short, rapid bursts, in order to minimize shots going astray due to the muzzle flash making aiming difficult, or the recoil moving the crosshairs too drastically, or other issues that arise from full-auto. Only time you'd ever run into a TR player holding the trigger down would be when he was right in his enemy's face.

I think, like in real history, conserving ammo and other supplies will be very important. Any major offensives could be doomed for that reason.

Historically true, but you reason without the inventory terminals. Anyone with access to a terminal will never run out.

And there's an inventory terminal on the AMS, so you can take a terminal with you into the field.

As far as TR running out of ammo goes, check their assault rifle. Drum Fed. While TR generally has the highest rate of fire, they also have the largest ammo capacity. I wouldn't be at all suprised to find that the various empires can can sustain fire for about the same amount of time (at least with their assault rifles). Or maybe not. Won't know till we get our hot, grubby little mits on a beta.

Is there an inventory that can hold ammo and things like that?
