A Tip For the 7 Day Trial Players....

Base and Tower CCs don't need a Hacking cert in order for them to be hacked. You just need a REK. Which comes standard when you spawn. Hacking and Adv Hacking merely make the process of hacking a CC go faster.

So when you see a Max clear a CC and they say "We need a hacker", please hack the CC and don't just stand there staring at me... errr I mean the Max.

You could always just tell em in game as and when this happens.

Actually I have. Of course when you do this in a heated battle, a good minute or two has gone by and we are generally dead before they finish the hack.

Last night in Ogma, the Vanu had a hack. I cleared the CC. And at least 3 TR grunts running around with thier standard armor and suppressors ran by me in the CC. I said it local... I said it in /b and yet no one came. Me and another Max were down there for a good 5 mins and no one resecured. They ran in and stared at us for 5 seconds and then ran off. A couple even took the time to check the backbacks of the VS I killed. We of course ended up losing the base.

Since we're talking about hacking and the 7 day trialers.....

When I was using my 7 day trial, I was driving along, and noticed a VS tower. So I go in, and was scoping out the place, when I saw this VS soldier come around the corner. We exchanged fire, and needless to say they got the end of my shot gun

So I race back up to the CC, and start hacking. It was so nerve racking I still have nail imprints in my hands.

One sec away from the hack being complete, and I get it in the back by the same guy that iced me before.... -.-

I haven't used my seven-day trial yet...using the Character and Outfit searches I found my old outfit but can't find its old leader. Oh well, he was a nice guy; people you don't see anymore after beta.

I may set up my seven-day trial...what did they change on release? Everything?

Unless you have some hacking skill, they can respawn and get back to the CC faster than you can hack it if they don't waste much time in the spawn room.

I've had a lot of tower battles between me and one guy, till I got Adv hacking. I just kill them and run to the CC and I'm done with the hack before they respawn. Onetime I hacked it and they got it back, now I ALWAYS check the basement. No matter how deserted it is. Cause there's always one dirty cloaker around that has to be a pain in the ass.
