A lot of people seem to think that hacking PS would be impossible. Not sure why that is. It's a pretty major discussion topic on the official forums.

It's the client side hit detection that makes it easy
Some other things are impossible to stop really

Just so you know unless the policy from eq changed no SOE employe in any function will ever respond to this kind of thread, in fact just from the subject of the first post, it may very well get closed and a warning issue, its the Official boards and they like to make sure everyone toes the party liune.

Hmm not sure about some of these, but using my infiltrator character, I've been perfectly still in a corner kneeling with surge on and have been still for 45 seconds waiting for some traffic to die down, then BANG a sniper gets me from a long ways off. Definently did not see me move. DL wouldn't work from that distance, so what was it? hmmm...

Sometimes when zoomed in to 12x on the sniper scope infiltrators become just barely visible. It's a bug that was fixed for the most part but still seems to pop up from time to time.

lol they think OrgeX cheats. I have killed him more times than he has killed me. And never personally witnessed anything awkward about him.(I'm not trying to sound really skilled, only that I have little trouble killing him, I could list off names of people who own me everytime if you want

)

I can sometimes see a none moving cloaker, but I have to be close to him and sometimes he blends in well enough and I'm to busy that he still gets me. On my comp a none moving cloaker is still visible, but it makes for some great camafluge (can't spell worth anything). Oh and one thing I hate dieing to above all is a cloaker that I can see, but I'm to busy taking down the bigger max and the cloaker kills me. Hmm well hope they can do something about most of these hacks and cheats. But, one thing that's the most fun I've ever had on any game, and that's defeating a cheater or hacker in a game even though you don't have any special hacks or cheats. So sometimes skill can beat those cheats and hacks, but other times depending on how cheap they are they they can't be stopped.

Oh and several times I saw people that no matter how many times I shot them they wouldn't die or if I ran them over several times they wouldn't die. And they just stand there. Could this be a result of them trying to use the lag hack? But they messed it up? Oh and it can't be normal lag because I've seen this happen to people where there was no big battle happening at all. But hey, it also could be normal lag so I'm not calling them a defiant cheater or anything.

I've been acoused of cheating before. One time a vangaurd was about to run me over but it just kept pushing me asside. 30 secs later a friendly Prowler runs me over. The Vangaurd driver said he was going to /appeal me for cheating. I have no idea what happened.

Maybe he didn't go run you over fast enough, you have to be going quick enough to run people over, if your not your just hurt them or push them aside. The prowler was probably going quick enough to run you over.

When zoomed in with a Sniper scope you can see the infiltrators when they move, especially if they run, and all one really would have to do is lead on them or shoot into nothing when they stop to kill them. Being on the giving end, I don't really know if thats a "hack" but being on the receiving end it pisses me off when I get killed.

No they were both full speed. I don't know, it just happened.

I don't know about cheats. Never use them in any game, can't stand them or the people who need to use them. There is no skill in cheating. I like to play a game enough till I get skillful at it. There have been times when I can't see a cloaker even though he is moving at top speed, and other times I can see them as clear as if they were visible. I only recently started using DL. I once got accused of being a , and I quote, "Gay Lagger Bitch", Unquote, simply because I killed one guy 4 times in a row, 3 as a cloaker, and one with a Mini-Chaingun. I never lagged once when I killed him. I told him, don't complain to me, complain to his computer or to the server. That shut him up. I've also been accused of cheating because I came out of spawn tubes and killed 3 guys. They said they could not see me, so they didn't fire. It wasn't my fault. I ping great, and hardly ever get Packet loss, and rarely FPS lag, (which I don't understand, as I have a ati9700pro and my setting on medium.) I don't know why anyone would waste their money on a game and then rob themselves of the natural experiance of the game by cheating. It's like with Medal of Honor:Allied Assault, the biggest piss off in that game is the many cheaters. My buddy gets his rocks off by playing with all of them, and kicking their @sses. Me, I can't stand playing with cheaters. Would you want to play with or against someone who can't play a game unless they cheat? I say if you need to cheat, don't bother playing. But that's just my opinion.

Cheaters help the devs discover and remove loopholes, and they do it for free. For no profit, they actually wind up helping defeat themselves. Sounds like justice.
