I haven't noticed any of these topics covered previously but I figured they're all small enough to cram into one post.
My first concern is about repair bays. In BF1942 the devs set-up repair bays that were right next to if not in the middle of important bases. The smartest and cheapest tank drivers eventually figured out that you could camp on the repair areas and your chances of getting killed were very very low. I'm wondering if the devs have mentioned how repair bases will be set-up. If an engineer is repairing something can they remain cloaked or is it similar to firing a gun; Once you're doing any sort of action other than walking you lose your cloaked status? Lastly I was wondering, if you have whatever cert allows for minelaying can you also be a minesweeper? I haven't read anything about being able to deactivate opposing empires' mines but I'm sure there is some sort of system set-up to do so. Except the first one these aren't major concerns just simple curiosity on my part.

Noone knows anything about base layout at this point, so i can't help you there, you can just bypass someone sitting on a repair pad anyway, if there even are repair pads.
Engineering tools take up a rifle holster, so cloakers can't even use them. The combat engineering certs allow you to use Nano Applicators and BANKs for repairs, ACEs, which fill the role of deployable turret, motion sensor, remote charge and mine, and a mine sweeping grenadish item.

heh, I always loved the repair campers in bf1942. I would make it my mission to prove their tactics as flawed as their sense of honor and fair play.
they're not as hard to defeat as you would at first think. I'll be willing to bet that for the truly creative engineer, things along those lines will be 'fixable', even if you have to use just as dishonorable a tactic as was used against you.

I hope PS wil address Tank camping...Hiding inside a cloed structure athat loows you to fire with little chance of being hit form air attacks and any groud attack is quickly stopped. I think PS will address this though. And on Al Almene...forget the name of that map I'm talking about, often going the AA guns can take out the tanks on their way to the hangar..They don't even know it's an AA gun normally

now you said that their making a somewhat kind of minesweeping grenade. are they making a specific one for getting rid of mines or can you use frag grenades to get rid of them also. logic states that if something blows up it doesn't blow up only in one spot, it spreads in a 360 degree manner. just wondering.

And to answer the question, nobody knows, but I'd imagine they become uncloaked when doing that sort of thing.
