No. In windows XP is a feature which allows the user to take a "snapshot" of the system prior to making any type of changes. I did so prior to installing the latest version of DirectX (9.0b) which cannot be uninstalled. The only way to "uninstall" it is to revert the system back to prior configuration.
No, I think I would understand the difference between "restore" and "rebuild" Restore: To bring back to an original condition. Rebuild: To remodel and make extensive changes. |

Well some computers come with a "system restore disk" and this re-installs the os and configs the comp to the way it was when it was originally purchased, so this is what I thought you may have done. I dont know apparently the XP restore thingy doesnt work properly.. you should not have had to re-download all the updates for ps unless ps was re-moved and re-installed...wierd

I have been buying and playing PC games since Harpoon (a naval combat simulator) I forget the year that gem came out but it's been awile.
I have never had these type of problems. I dutifully started the Update and it cancelled 4 times. That just is not gonna get it on a 5 hour dl. I cancelled my account. Paying 50.00 US to enjoy a fucking game should not be a part-time job. |
