$275 range - 9800 pro

$130 range - 9600 pro

personally dont go with nvidia they are slipping, and not just in thier cards... i mean look they're all over the news (well geek news) about legal and illegal optimizing of drivers. they had trouble with 3dmark 2003, and now they're having trouble with valve...) come on, with an ati you dont get any baggage, just a solid and reliable card..

the 9700 pro is alot better than the 9600 pro. the 9600 pro is a couple steps below the 9700 pro. The 9500 pro is in between the two

9700P is better than the 9600P by a good amount. If you can get a 9700 get it

Whats the thing I hear about the Omega hacked drivers that can unlock the extra 4 pipelines and turn the 9600 pro into a 9700 pro?

It's a hack on tyhe 9500np that opens up the pipelines and you can OC it to near 9700 levels

you cant do that on a 9600 pro. its a completely different core with fewer pipelines

A low percentage of very early 9500's only could do that mod, now after revisions etc. it is no longer possible what so ever.
