A friend of mine would like to try out the free 7-day trial, but isn't to keen on downloading the whole game... my question to you is: would it be possible to install the game from my CDs, then get a trial key from FilePlanet, thus avoiding a big download?

Your CD's should have come with a friend trial key. It would be a circular piece of paper on the inside of the last flap of the case.

don't worry, it'll be a legit key. As far as I know, It should work. But I could be wrong and it might only work for my cd's

It seems you can get a key from FP without dl'ing the whole thing, just by starting a new SOE account. But thanks anyway, I'll mail you if it doesn't work out

Soooo, did it work, and you got a key from FP? I still have a buddy key to use, if it didn't work.
