Maybe you should wait until they decide to do it before worrying about the mechanics. My guess is that they'd let you chose which faction, and therefore which character(s) you would like to keep. It would probably be a long time before they ever did something like that though, because can you imagine the complaints they'd get about everyone paying $13 for 5 servers and now there's only 3 and oh my god they had better lower the price to $8, etc, etc, etc...
So they may someday do that, but I guarantee they would have a good system for transitioning characters cause merging servers would already be more than enough of a customer service nightmare for them. |

That would friken suck since I have a char on all the servers BR15 or higher and 2 chars on some servers. I would be willing to drop my Johari dudes I guess, but hell no I dont want to lose my Kornied or Markov dudes and losing my TR dudes isnt even an option
