To put it bluntly, Planetside sucks. I need a new online game (RPG or FPS) to tide me over until WoW. What would you recommend?

Rubies of Eventide:

Constantly updated free content. (they've pretty much said they are never going to sell an expansion)

24 hour GM support (it's so awesome to be able to /who GM, get a name, in game message them and get a response back in a few minuetes)

Variety:
100 and change difrent professions everything from bowyers to swashbucklers.

Craft skills and player driven economy

Free seven day trial. No box'd software to buy (this could be a good or a bad thing depending on your connection)

PLanetside sucks? alright then, but you just lost 40 bucks for the game and a few more for the subscription. So IRL, you suck.

I dig planetside but I would like to second Dopplers opinion on ROE. I quit playing ROE when I started PS because I didnt see much point in haveing 2 subscriptions going at the same time when I only get like 2 or 3 hours of solid gaming a day, and I like Planetside

planetside has awesome potential and is a great short term game. But 2 months were all that was in it for me

Wait until Joint Operations, I'm pretty sure that'll be free online. It's modern-day combat, with ships, stealth bombers, choppers, etc.

try Enemy Territory, its rpg+fps game, it doesent cost a cent except for the electricity costs for ur comp offcourse. It doesent suck just becouse its free, trust me.

I like planetside, but. meh.

Im sick of SOE's bullshit and that damn patch that took 50 of my fps and STILL didnt give it back.

So. Come Wow release/ i get aceppted into beta.
