Balance Revisions

Well just had to start one. I for one like what I read and I think it will be a very nice change. I'm sure a few people who have been using a few of the weapons that are seeing some slight reductions will cry foul.
The tank and AA balances are the ones I see as being the most intriguing. I really like the idea of there being levels of effective AA, with the Skyguard being the most powerful, AA MAXs coming in second and Infantry AA last and weakest.

My Lightning getting double the armor has me jumping for joy and I see that the 12mm is getting an increase in damage. Got to love that.

So let the debate begin.

Thats the reason they're nerfing in, especialy considering its an anti-vehicular weapon...

*Edit: I would have liked to see ILFs nerfed, but I dount that will happen. There's never any love for the invisible guy.*

i hate the lack of glow because the VS is nearly silent and now im gonna have to use my sound now. Im happy overall though

Realy though, I thought the Lancer realy was fine before. The only people that bitched about it's snipeing capability are dumbasses that stay still even after they get shot twice.

Besides, it did fit the idea of the Vanu being versitile(sp?). I don't think they did enough for the Phoenix, but the dumbfire mode is a definate must.

They nerfed the reaver and buffed AA, oh we are fuckn screwed as pilots. ALL PLANES NEED A BUFF NOT JUST A REAVER, but i use a reaver as primary transport, i built my certs around it look...

Medium Assault
Heavy Assualy
Anti-Vech
Reinforced Armor
Engy
and of course Reaver

These were all chosen to make me a pilot/commando, and now amma be on the ground all the time because AA is gonna chew us up more then they already do. I like the New locking system though, it might give us a chance... untill the get used to it!!!

ummm... balance pass? what have they been doing all these months? I thought almost every patch so far all through beta and all through release has been similar tinkering with weapons and damage and speed "numbers".

as they say jokingly at other messageboards when a patch is announced for a game... so is this the patch that makes the game good/fun/etc? I mean there's zero indication here that they are getting the picture, they are in their own little world as they have been all through development and release.

One last time, for SOE: The secret to making a good game is giving the game gameplay that is fun. PS tends to frustrate, bore, and demand of the player far more then gratify. If this "fun" or "entertainment" thing is alien to you and you think that umpteen "number adjustments" are all that is needed... well don't let the door to the game industry hit you in the butt on the way out.

ok to all the ppl that say the lancer is fine... it was i loved the lancer it was awesome i wouldent care how many buffs the other guys got if they would have kept the lancer the way it is i would b happy... anyways its AV capabilities arent even all that great, its only good against maxs now, n the only time ur gonna run into a max with a lancer is inside and inside pwns the lancer... and u know what ill bitch n moan all i want i dont give a shit what some goggley eyed peice of crap says to me

I like that they're generally buffing vehicles and the xp changes sound awesome! Too bad about the reaver, and I hope we get to see more skyguards out there.

I agree with teratravp.

This doesn't make the game more fun. Patches like this only frustrate many people. Just about the time you get used to weapons they nerf them. How is that fun?? It's stupid.

Where's the poll option for hating the whole thing???
