Ok, I've only done this a couple times, but it works great. first, when you see 1 or more magriders coming, you usually have a second or 2 to prepare.
1. Kneel down in the middle of the field. They'll come to you like dogs on a week-old steak. 2. Set up a ton of mines around you. I could only fit 4 that are close to me. 3. Sit in the middle of the mines. Otherwise, the magrider may never come, and your mines will fall victim to a jammer grenade. 4. The mag will run you over, detonating the mines. this usually kills it. I figured if I was going to be ran over I might as well make the magrider driver stare at the respawn screen too. This is especcially useful when everyone is spawning at an AMS and theres no vehicle support. |

sorta good tactics but i do something a lil different i set up my minefield in a base when u see a mag on the map go out to it and if he follows u run back (best with surge trust me) and hide in the corner and he will run over the mines and then u will piss on his dead carcass

By far the best trick i've seen is very similar. But doesn't require you to be killed. Set a spit and a sensor ontop of a small hill. Something somewhat worthy of jumping and in pen veiw. Because it is easier to mow a spitfire almost anyone driving will most likely try to take it by mowing. The lure is two fold. They get to help by popping turrets and of course thats a really nice hill. "...maybe i can some air off it." Tanks go up, but they don't come down. Works great on any driven vehicle too. If by chance the tank doesn't die. It would take very little to kill it now.
Another fun trick is to deploy a boomer underneath a very damaged vehicle. So long as it is relatively quiet. Theres a good chance someone will prefer to jack the vehicle. As soon as the hack goes threw, boom. Interesting thing about boomers is after they are deployed you destroy them without detination. Deploy a rediculuos amount of boomers close tot he CC in a tower. Then a couple on the stairs as you come up and in plain view making sure anyone who comes in sees both boomers. They will start shooting the boomer assuming its a trap or perhaps it's some n00b that doesn't know how to deploy boomers. Destory the second boomer DO NOT detonate. When they notice the second boom deconstruct. The notion this is a trap is gone. Once they get to the CC they will be faced with a hard line decision. Hack or shoot boomers, too many boomers they will opt to hack so long as they don't have a jammer. Since the second boomer just vanished they figure you are even around and that was the last one you deployed. Since when you deploy your maximum amount. Anytime you go over that amount, the first/earliest one you deployed deconstucts. Thus, they figure you are long gone. |
