Urban warfare pertains to cities, or atleast places with many buildings, they say its urban warfare but i have yet to see a building in core combat. if they just called it Core Combat, i guess that would satisfy me but its definately not urban warfare. i've seen multi-tiered battle grounds but how can you consider that a city?

He/She/It has a point from a perfectly semantics point of view. But lets be realistic to truely have the feel of urban combat is really two things.
1 Close quarters fighting through a veariety of structures. 2 Civilians/NPC/Nonhostiles in the combat zone The latter which thankfully planetside doesnt do.

Maybe they should be using "3-dimensional combat" as their buzzword, cause that's what it is. Granted, urban combat is 3-dimensional (ie: a guy on a roof, or shooting at you from some random window on a building) but I guess that's why they are using "urban style" to refer attackers coming from all sides and all angles, requiring much more careful squad movement with cover and fire sweeps, etc. Ah well, it's marketting folks, at least they're not saying the new ancient modules will make bases "Virtually Impenetrable" which would be "true" in adspeak.

Yup. They definately should have put in streets complete with striped lines, malls, billboards and parked cars with office buildings here and there and perhaps a fucking McDonald's you could provide covering fire from...
