Ummm this doesn't make sense

Ever notice vehicles can fire while they are on the repair pads? I would think they couldn't since grunts can't while on the med pads.

yes it does this happend to me a reaver was damn near death and I fired my last striker round at it he dived to the pads and repaired him enough to save him he then staying at the pad fired his rockets and killed me. He would have been dead but was repaired then able to fire at me from a "safe pont"

But to be over the rearm pad you are stationary... a stationary aircraft is a nice juicy target.

Do you realize how slowly air pads repair vehicles? I somehow don't think so. It's about 1/2-3/4 as fast as someone with a glue gun. If your one striker didn't kill him and he was that close to dead to begin with, then a second would have.

Sitting over an air pad firing with people shooting at you is a good way to do one thing: Get yourself killed.

Elf is right guys, it's way too slow to repair vehicles on the stupid pads to disable their weapons. Either speed it up (by 2 or 3 times) or leave the weapons activated.

Come to think of it, they should leave it the way it is now because it prevents the most annoying of all exploits from BF1942-- a tank sitting on a repair pad is pretty much immortal unless you can get three guys to open fire on him all at once, and land every shot.

Nah, ExpPacks worked nicely against tanks on the repair pad. Granted, that was assuming yhou could get close enough...

Yeah....but regular heath terms take damn long too. Longer then the vpad terms.

Then get Adv Regen. I tell you, Adv Regen + Med term + Med Packs = Healed in record time.

As for the repair time, it takes too damn long, almost as long as it takes to charge the shield. And not being able to fire it just retarded. I mean, if your going to jump on a medic terminal while a battle is raging, you deserve to be killed. that's what medpacks are for.

Incorrect. Health terms heal you in a much shorter period of time than an airpad at least. Try it. The ground vehicles I've never really timed so you might be right on those, but from what I've seen they didn't seem to heal you faster than health terms.
