New kind of crash

Hi all,
before the last patch I wasn't having so much problems. I could get a crash maybe once every 3 hours or so, but with this latest patch, it's enough just to select a character and try to play, and it will crash instantly. It's done this for me ten times now and It's very frustrating to say the least.

Also just before I got this problem I was playing on Ceryshen, I was inside a base when a maxunit opened the door to the stairwell, i could just hear the sound of the door and then it crashed. Might be something, I don't know.

Specs: win98se, amd athlon 1.2ghz, geforce 4 ti4600 (latest drivers), 512mb RAM, soundblaster live! value

I'm getting upgrades soon, just need to figure out what it most crucial.

Might add that I tried creating a new character just for testing on Konried, and it came as far as to the empire select screen, and when I selected and chose to go on to the next screen it crashed directly to desktop.

I guess this is a graphics problem = expensive

So frustrating

Misc Info

ram is the most crucial part!, and 2k/XP help alot with stability. You graphic card is good so no need ot buy a new one.

First off you need more ram but 98 doesnt support more than 512 Ram. I would probaly upgrade to 1gig and XP and trust me your 4600 is not a probelm...
