Automatic full scan?

Whenever I start the launchpad it does an automatic full scan, I do do anything it just starts scanning, is this a feature that can be turned off? Can it have anything to do with the beta files i've recently been downloading? Is anybody else experiencing this?

This happened to me as well.. SOE must be triggering it somehow.

I have a therory that it is to prevent hacks/cheats it would detect any modifing of the files

I was just wondering if I was the only one experiencing it... doesn't really bother me that much, just a whole 2 extra minutes to go to the bathroom or somethin.

Same here, i dunno, if i KNEW it was for hack/cheat preventing purposes then i wouldnt mind, but knowing SOE, some dumbass probably fugged it up by accident, lol.
