School Bus Horror

Have you seen that video clip from Ohio of the kids in the school bus after it flips? As if the left side of the bus was magenetized, they all fall and turn into a writing mass of elementary school kids.

It's not the kids fault, they haven't done anything wrong. No annoying songs, spitballs, etc. were seen.

Not the driver's fault. He was avoiding traffic.

Whose fault? The genius who decided that school buses didn't need seat belts.

Someone could have been hurt.

I think those kids have gained significantly in toughness points, almost as much as that guy who cut off his arm with a pen knife to free himself from a boulder. Now THAT guy is the MAN!

By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

I was actually at the NTSB and helped research why school buses are safer without safety belts. Seriously, kids get FUCKED UP when they are in seatbelts on buses. Kids are so flexible, they really do bounce back.

edit: that really makes it sound like I did something. I got coffee and shut the fuck up.

I don't have it, go watch the news. It's all over the news.

And seat belts are the win. You are much more likely to die in a car accident if ejected out of the car.

Cars aren't school buses though.

The safest place to sit on a bus is just behind that emergency door in the windows halfway in the bus. The most dangerous is in the back. In like 2 of the videos we watched, the kids in the back left seat all died.

you really think the kids will wear their belts if they had em?

Besides, belts would already be on them if someone hadn't proved they are safer without.

It's just the drivers fault.

Usually it's the road's fault. Every wreck I saw (albeit a small portion) happened on some stretch of bad road, or where safety rails weren't up to code.

I think, (from the one news story I saw about it on the news) that the driver was trying to pass some semi-slow-moving traffic. If I was a driver, I would make my kids saftey paramount, and not care about how fast I was going.

this is soooo old.

People have been trying to put seatbelts in busses for ever now but it's not meant to be. Its a buss for crying out loud it isnt a dragster, in fact one of my school's busses has them and from my expireance no one wears them.

Quite true. I haven't seen anything about this case, that's a pretty stupid thing to be doing.
