Well i've recently been getting this new tricky pop up that sends its msg straight to my IP (I use cable modem). The pop up that comes up looks like a message from windows and says crap like "to stop this go to messageblocker.com" or some crap and wants you to pay like $10, obviously a scam. Anyone know I can I stop this? It's freaking annoying as hell and stops me from playing any comp games because it will minimize the game as soon as it happens.

This is a windows messenger popup.
You can disable windows messenger by going into control panel / administrative tools / services. From there scroll down to messenger, right click on it and click "disabled" under startup type. Be adviced this can cause problems with some programs, but it will get rid of your problem. |
