Combat Engi + Infil

I recently started a new char, used weaps and stuff, and got BR4, got Infil Suit + CE.

I was wondering if there were any tips on Boomering folks? I find that I get MCG'd alot as well as 'Thumped'.

The only time I get any good Boomer shots is on crowded equip terms + AMSes, but I did manage to get a few individuals.

I can't get past the front door to drop a Boomer to kill some things, is there anything I'm doing wrong?

Yup, your using the front door. Never go in the direct way as an infiltrator. Go int eh back, to side, the top. Which ever, but never go direct. Run only when you MUST. Otherwise walk, or crouch walk. Also, ASAP, get Silent Run implant. Carry a REK. Get Advanced Hacking. Since you want to be Inf/CE, don't worry about weapon certs. However, the new pistol slot weapon is a nice weapon for Infiltrators. But you need Medium assault. Not mayn Infiltrators worry about Medium Assault, although, now they should. It's a great addition now. If you can buy them. Get a vehicle cert. Tactical Combat, and Mosquito are two good ones. The AMS will help you, the Mosquito is a quick mode of tansport, and the Teleporter(Can't remember it's name) is an interesting, and sometimes valuable addition to a siege.
Other than that, tactically, you find your going to end up camping lots as an Inf/CE. That's where the Adv. Hacking comes in handy. Allows you to use all your Boomers in nme territory, and then you can get more easy. Also allows you to sneak in and do a Godjoey, which is sneak into spawn room, hack a term, and switch to AI MAX. Annoying, to say the least.

AND FOR THOSE THAT SEE GODJOEY's high kill count, and think he's good, 77% of his kills are against STANDARD ARMOR. which means he kills alot of people who have just spawned with standard equipment. What does that tell you? I know what it tells me.

I'm not an infiltrator but some boomer techniques have worked for me.
In a tower, you can place a boomer on the top of the steps and hide your body against and around the center wall so you're out of view. Use third person and position the camera so you're able to watch incomings (but since you're an infiltrator, hiding may not be as important ).

Or if you're coming down the steps, place one below the steps near the center wall of the tower and blow incoming enemies. Pretty much let the enemies have to walk into your trap. Placing the boomer out of their view will yield better results.

I know some infil like to set a trap, grab a person's attention, and then run back to his deployed boomer (like behind a door) and readies himself.

Congested areas indoors and usually around the steps can get you some boomer kills. Surge into the crowd, lay one down, and surge away detting the boomer. In a crowded area, people can't escape from the boomer's radius when bodies are blocking them. Usually it's a kamakaze move though.
