Don't get Home. I heard it's very user-friendly (read: dumbed down to attract rednecks and Mac users). You can't format without Microsoft's permission with Home.

I have XP Professional. I got it for...er...I'd like to use the 5th Amendment here.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.

I know, I know, home sucks, but its for clients, and most of them are rednecks and/or mac users, so its perfect.

If anybody can tell me their sources for OS's, that doesn't involve incrimenating themselves, please do.

Well if you work in retail any place that sells MS products, which if you sell systems and have your own business it probably counts. You can fill out a bunch of surveys and get MS products cheap. WindowsXP use to be there, not sure if it still is or not.

Anybody know if there is a way to just buy liscences? I keep building comps for fun and profit (mostly profit) and one of the things cutting into my profit margin the most is having to buy a copy of windows XP for 90 bucks a pop on each computer. Anybody know if there is a way to just buy the numbers needed for legit operation, but still using the same cd, and hopefully saving money?

There is a way but i do not know how to go about that, its normaly done with companies with lots of computers so they don't have to buy so many disks as that 3$ - 5$ increase adds up.

EDIT vistit their website to see if you can find out i'd be interested in that tow as i do the same thing, but i think that selling computers with Windows on it without their consent (and royalty most likely) may be a violition of some kind of law, i remember seeing that somewere.
