Different Roles

I know people have had threads on tactics and the like, but what I'm interested in hearing, is what kind of roles are people interested in.
I really love the the possibilities of this game. The fact that I can be an assult type guy in one base raid, and be support in the next.

With my Goals being:

Reinforced Armour
Punisher/Cycler
Lightning
Galaxy
Adv. Medical

I could probably get a few more in there, Like Hacking, Engineering, or hell, maybe even a MAX suit. But if thats all I can get, then I'd be happy just the same. Sure, I cant do them all at once, but no biggy. Because I can addapt to alot of different situations, depending on what is needed for any specific battle.

I personally love the aspect of being support. Useing a Galaxy for troop transport, AMMO delivery, strafing runs, emergency evacs, ect.
I know whenever I have a lightning, I will have the trunk full of whatever AMMO I can, just for people to take it, if they need it. I love that kind of thing.

I guess I'm just curious to see how everyone will be making the most out of what they want.

At first I'll probably have reinforced armor, Assault weapons like the ones you picked and the zoom implant. Then I'll get vehicle certs a little after that.

Oh yes, implants. Very good. I'm thinking I'll take that regeneration one, the Zoom one, and maybe Adv. Targeting

I think i would specialize in:

ALL air vehicles, ALL tanks, and ALL buggies (i like vehicles)
Agile armor
Bolt Driver (teehee)
the advanced reticle implant, and maybe advanced zoom (if its better than bolt driver, which i think we all doubt)

As for roles, i would probably play mainly solo but if any squad needs a sniper, i'll just go with them, set myself up on a hill, and pop the reinforcements as they come to reclaim their base.

I would also play support. Im with you chaos, i love the feeling of opening my trunk to anybody who needs ammo. I also plan on becoming a great pilot.

Basically, the only area i really think im not gonna do, is infiltration suit, MAX, and hacker.

I might at some point try sniping, but definately not somethin I'd do alot.

What I wonder is, can you use the zoom implant, while driving/flying?

If sniping is balanced i'll definitely be sniping a lot. If hacking is actually worth the certs i might go that way. Then there's engineering(both D and Off) and of course mosquito, reaver, wraith/basilisk.

im thinking reemforced armor with maybe a supperssor or Cycler, and the repeter as my nice sidae arm. O and i may get the misquto cert if i get enough BEPs seeing as im gonna command mostly. though prob from the front seeing as thats funner

Alot of people are going two Assault weapons but not one Assault, one Anti-Tank. I'm not saying this is bad, but just noticing.

In an assault role, I'd definately take some A.V. heavy firepower to deal with the odd MAX as well as an anti-infantry weapon. No debate as far as I'm concerned. It's best to be prepared for any potential battle situation, if you're covered with machine guns, as soon as a MAX rounds the corner, you've got very few ways of dealing with it.

You can get AP and AI rounds for most Assault weaponry and the Punisher has a rocket launcher with one round. Itll probably be ble to riddle most things quickly with the mini-chaingun or cycler or even the punisher with holes. Although tanks will brush off that damage quickly after they splatter your remains across a mile or so.

Depending on how well the punisher's rocket works out. If it sucks, then I'd definately grab the Striker

It will probably be satisfactory. Enough that a small group of troops could destroy a lightning and scare off a heavy tank.
