I belive that when you are at an equipment terminal and select one of your favorite load-outs it should give you a new set of armor too. Currently I am stuck with selecting a different armor then choosing the favorite that I had originally wanted (if the favorite has the same armor as the one I am currently wearing).
Logically if I can switch my armor and equipment twice in under 3 seconds I should be able to slip on a new set of armor in 1sec. Its a reletively minor thing, but I could be already on my way out the door with those few seconds I save. It just dosnt make any sense to me that I would be standing at an equipment terminal and swap out almost everything in my invintory but keep wearing my bullet riddled armor. And if you think of it another way, if the New armor had all the equipment in it to start with and I was just sheading old to the floor and picking up new that would be alot quicker then to individually pack all my new equipment into my currently abused armor. What do you think? |

Its to slow down gameplay and add realism! When you do it your just adding stuff you already had! You dont magicaly pop stuff out in one second in real life it take a few seconds ot add stuff(you wouldnt really change armor like that in real life!) Its a concept form video games not real life. You should watch what you make htem change. the game design of a game like this is dependent on little htings like that. If i made a game like this that was half RPG oriented i would think ot myself when i get my equipment do i want to be realistic and go over there to get whats on hte other side of hte room or do i want to have everything instant and not have any realism. This realism in whatever form, subtle or not, is the only hting keeping the game from being a numbers crunching thing. Which is what makes people complain more about other things(like how much damage something does) and not pay attention to the feel that was put in the game design. This makes the variation in the damage or whatever of the weapon seem more drastic and can completely destroys its place in the game with every change there after because of the easily lost veiw of what it was before.
Sorry, i stopped typing to do something else and cant remember the rest of the point. Some of it was: They have to be careful about how they add a thing refill into the game. If they dont carefully fit it to the rest of the game it quickly shatters the games point of veiw and no longer upholds it as an entity. The rest should be obvious. This is a very important thing your talking about. No matter how mundane it seems. Even if its not completely what it was meant to be. What little of it is will be very important, and could have devestating affects if its removed. Even ones people may never notice. Last edited by Ait'al; 2003-11-12 at 04:54 AM. |

Ok I did not mean an armor refil, those of you who got it good for those of you who didnt;
What I meant was based on reality. As it stands right now you go up to an equipment terminal and choose a favorite it is treating you like you are grabbing a box of ammo putting it in your backpack, grabbing another box of ammo and putting it in your backpack, etc, etc until you fill up and are ready to go out, heck you are even reloading all of your guns. What I want changed is the first step in a 'favorite' selection should be to put on a new set of armor then fill that armors invintory instead of the damaged one you were wearing. Damage dosnt carry over to different types of armor, and it shouldnt because it is a different set of armor. So most people knowing this, like what was stated earlyer, choose Agile then ReXo to refill their damaged ReXo armor. But, if you just naturally put on a new set of ReXo every time you choose that favorite it would save alot of time. I hope that is clearer, I tend to be wordy and can often cloud an issue where someone else could write two sentences and be crystal clear. |

But you already had armor on. I know what you meant.
I meant reality outside the computer(IE you cant push a button in real life and amke stuff appear in your backpack). You shouldnt be able to it as fast as you can now, which of course some other things should be last longer or else this game would become a special opts game. It is the same things as an armor refill in essence. I didnt mean abstract game ideas.(like i said above) Abstract is something that is a twisted version of what happens in reality.(I say this because we get all of our ideas from this reality) Something with no susbstinative way of happening in the world. Im just saying gameplay should be slowed down more not spead up. Except by making everything die slower. Unless it makes sense. For instance bullets cant go faster than lightning, wich moves at near the speed of light. Last edited by Ait'al; 2003-11-12 at 06:24 AM. |

I agree favourites should renew your armour. I also think there should be a "Place all" option for inventory. Its annoying an time consuming to place each item individualy into the trunk of your vehicle or into a locker. Just think how much more used locker would be if it wasn't such a pain in the arse.
Theres wasted space in most vehicle trunks and i like to keep med kits and armour canisters in there for myself, or anyone around the tank, but it's a waste of time usualy.
