Planetside keeps freezing during Offline Training

Righteo, I managed to get a 256MB stick of RAM today. Which brings the total of my RAM up to around 456. Considering I also have a 64MB graphics card and a Pentium 4 1.7GHz processor, it shouldn't freeze or be that slow. All I want to do right now is play the Offline Training. Get used to it before I download the patch. Is there any way to increase my performance in PS? This computer isn't old either, so it shouldn't need a defrag right now.

Which brings another thing to mind, recently when I've been trying to download the PS patch, it will hang, reset or say it has 10 hours or more to finish. It could have something to do with me having a Wireless network. New technology I suppose. Unless the patch is a seperated download or part of the game, I could install PS on to another computer, install the patch there, burn the patch on to a disk and then install it on to my computer. Any ideas?

Not to put your system down or anything, but it sounds like your hardware might have some issues playing PS online. I dunno bout the patching thing but you should have at LEAST 512mb of ram. The 64mb vid card with that probably isnt helping either. But I dont think you should have a prob playing offline training...that should be plenty to run that. There has always been issues with offline training. There were numerous fixes and if u havent downloaded the patches yet that might be your problem.

Actually it says I should have at least 256MB of RAM. Not 512. Sure, most people will have 512MB of RAM, but they still have problems.

yes but if you tried running the game at 256mb ud crash A LOT, and it would be hellishly slow...
