Punisher + EMP = good?

I've been playing around with Standard Armor + Punisher + EMP grenades and lemme tell ya hitting someone with an EMP and watching them slow way down and do their k00ky dance is really fun. You'd think it'd be as much fun with Thumper, but you have to then switch weapons or ammo type to kill them, which isn't nearly as cool as just switching firing modes.

I'm not saying it's the win for everyone, just that it's been fun for me lately, and I'm a person who once thought the Punisher was strictly gimpy.

I like the Punisher, Plasma + Ammo Combo, you have a plasma ready fire it and then quick switch over to ammo and rip them appart. Good medium range strategy.

Hmmm....

I never really used the Punisher as I thought it too be weak as well. But you bring me insight, and I praise you for it.

I as well tried the Punisher when I first started and then hated it and stopped using it. Since that time it has become my primary medium assault weapon. I as well use the plasma, switch to machine gun and kill 'em.

My grief never went very high, all was good. (I tried the thumper and my grief went through the roof. I stopped using it )

I shall try the jammer concept and see how long it confuses my enemies.

Only down side to the punisher is the HUGE, FAST bloom it has.

The Punisher is a good room clearer when used in combination with a primary weapon. Its most endearing feature is that it is "only" Medium Assault and thus makes for a cheap grenade launcher.

Simply load up on some grenades of whatever flavor floats your boat, maybe even a box of rockets or two, and then switch firing modes to secondary, load up the projectile of choice, and slap it in your second rifle slot. Then grab whatever primary you feel like using. When you need to lob a grenade into a room, you've got the Punisher all ready to go.

I love the punisher. I use it in Agile with 2 boxes of plasma and 1 box of jammers. Jammers are good against turrets and the carpet of mines @ base entrances.

I like to hit them with plasma grenades, then switch to standard rounds and hose them down.

Punisher cant stand up to the fire power the Thumper can put out (IE: Reloading times)

Maybe not, but I don't have to spend five certs to get a Thumper. I can spend two and get the Punisher and spend the other three on something worthwhile like...

uhh...

Ahh, he is just elaborating on his hyperbolic assumption that everyone is out to exploit the game by using Surge.
