A cool fact about the Lightning

I was trying things out in VR and I found something about the Lightning that I didn't know. When you fire the chaingun, all the shots hit in the left side of the COF. I centered the COF on a friendly vehicle, then moved it so any shots falling to the right of the small central square in the middle of the COF would hit the vehicle, thus giving me the friendly-fire warning. Not a single one did. Then I positioned it so any shots landing in the left side of the COF would hit the vehicle, and the first shot hit it every single time.

I fired hundreds of shots to test it, it works. This effectively means the Lightning has a much smaller COF.

Of course you Lightning masters knew this, but I thought some others would find it interesting.

Great little tank. When it comes with Harasser, what a deal. A free interlink-invisible scout buggy to boot? Sign me up!

Agreed, lightning is a great cert and grouped with a harrasser, it is incredible value. Though it seems all vehicles are becoming great value with the cert grouping.

I can't wait. That and the Air Support Cert are the ones that I want. A Liberater, Galaxy, AND Lodestar in one. What could be better than that?

yeah i've decided that it won't eb that bad at all, it finaly gives me a reason to drop HA for the Reaver/skeeter and i can get lighitng/harraser adn i sopose i could drop ATV then but what would i do with those 2 points? perhaps i'll just keep it

i liked the lightning but ............i died REALLy fast in it. mainly because its the easiest tank to kill but since its a light tank then thats a fact ever since the balance patch came out it rocks with its two guns but they still have to fix the bug that makes it go to the left when in cruise mode.

Loved that thing when I played in beta. I used to ask people if they wanted a lift and then I drove off a high cliff in Searhus. It was funny as. Most people didn't angry, because it was near the base location they probably wanted me to take em to, so they just respawn back there heheh.

It was real weird though when we fell and landed on our wheels, so we were completely unscathed.

Nothing is quite as fun as taking a Deliverer on a tobogganing slide down into the crater on Searhus. Back before the HART timer change, I had a pickup squad going of low level characters I met in the HART building and I gave them a tour of Searhus in the deliverer. They peed themselves when I popped up over the rim.

Last time I checked, aircraft don't take a momentum hit when they mow.
