Inspired by the Sniper Rifle thread, I set down and started to think up some really cool certs... heres what i got:
Advanced Sniper :: 2 Cert Points :: Allows you to purchase the Advanced Bolt Driver :: This version of the bolt driver is more powerful then the origional. It has to modes, Regular - A regular Botl Driver; and Advanced - A tripod folds down from the extra barrel that you attach to increase acc. When deployed, you cannot move. It is a one hit kill. It takes 6.5 seconds to set up, and 6.5 seconds to put away. You do not reload in this state. Advanced Anti-Vehicle :: 2 cert points :: Allows you to purchase more powerful ammunition for the Anti-Vehicle weapons (Lancer, Striker, and Pheniox). Power is aprox. doubled. Reloading, RoF, way of fire does not change, only the power. Combat Engineer :: 2 Cert Points :: Addition to current CE. Allows you to manufacture ammo and weapons in the feild (empire and common pool only). Takes 2 mins for ammo; 5 mins for weapons. Can only make ammo/weapons if you deploy the newest ACE mode - Black Smith Shop Thats all I could think of as of now. The CE cert is just an addition, not a new engi cert.

I propose the Slapper missile for TR's advanced AV. It gets close to the target and then slaps it like an 11 year-old girl. The VS and NC would then insist it slaps as hard as a 14 year-old.

Adv. Snipe has the same response: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Adv. Anti-Vech sounds kinda plain. um, the CE idea first of all needs a new name becasue the one right is called, "Combat Engineering" "Dude i just got CE" "ing or er?" "what?" and i think thats going a little too far into trying to think up abilities for CE's, and i doubt that would be used at all anyway. Sorry to be so negative, but thats what i think. |

Combat Engineers should a little like CE in Vietcong. Your able to lay traps and explosives, and you can rearm you comrades a few times. Of course, why bother when you can just run to the nearest AMS in the field. That's why the CE idea is rather, Bleah. Why wait 5 minutes for a weapon when you can run to the AMS in a minute.
What I feel sucks is that you can't get AT weaponry at a AMS. I think IF the AMS was created at a base that has a Equipment Module in place, or Lattice Linked, then THAT AMS should be able to produce AT weaponry. |

Yah, anything that propagates AT weaponry/vehicles will help salvage the reputation of the Core Combat expansion. As it is now, people laugh at me for buying it, which doesn't seem to lend much dignity to someone who put their money where their mouth is for PlanetSide.

No one needs a more powerful sniper rifle, and being able to make guns would be too affective for the average grunt, not even needing to go to a terminal, and how would someone be able to make like 50 bullets in 2min on his own, or a gun in 5,

Say NO to sniperside! If a sniper rifle becomes one hit one kill, the game will become dominated by people sitting around sniping at each other. What happens is that less people actually move in and attcack bases.
Anyone who has played battlefield 1942 on the Omaha Beach map has probably seen this. What often happens is both sides load up with snipers. The defenders sit on the hills and snipe at the attackers. The attackers get bogged down and take cover and snipe back. What happens is that nobody bothers to actually attack any objectives. This game quickly becomes very static and boring. |

Sniping is just about the most blanced thing in this game, lets stop trying to fuck with it.
Why shouldnt AV be able to do that now? Honestly lets shoot the poor AV guys some love as it's a borderline neutered cert since the armor on vehicles got upgraded. Why buy a cert that lets me make guns when i can get ams for two points and get everything but vehicles and Max's.
