Lodestar patch problems

Well this is just great. After downloading the new patch this morning, excited to get in game and try out the new cert system, the game will not load. After clicking play I get the following error window every single time.

Fatal Application Error
FATAL ERROR: Virtual Alloc Failed
FILE: c:\dev\2003-11-25\source\Lib\game_enginer\mymem.cpp Line 4321

The game worked fine last night (before the patch) and I have even tried changing my virtual memory settings to see if that helps. I have 2 gigs of VM sitting there waiting to be used, but it still says Virtual Alloc Failed. This is infuriating!!!

So anyways if any devs are around here is your bug report, as I can't even get into the game to /bug it for you. I also sent an email.

full scan does nothing for me.

On the planetside.com tech forum it seems everyone running Windows 98 or ME cannot play PS atm. At least that seems to be the one thing everyone that gets this error has in common. Including me

Yeah I rebooted many times, did a full scan and even tweaked my virtual memory settings.

Yeah, it's a common problem since patch if you are running windows 98 or ME.

Guess we have to just sit and wait till they fix what they F'ed up.

Is there an ETA? Don't these fools have test servers to catch these problems beforehand?

Misc Info

Its a virtual memory problem that seems to be happening with the patch, due to the fact theat they have tried to lower the Virtual memory requirments
