Question Help my FPS

I think I have a pretty decent machine, but I may not have it configured correctly for PS. Been playing for 6 months and am getting used to the stuttering screens, and crawling FPS in zergs, but maybe I don't have to?

P4 2.66 533mhz FSB
512mb PC1066 Rambus RDram
(Prefer not to add more as it is hella-expensive)
ATI 9700 card
SBLive Audio
80GB Free Disk space, regularly defragged
Cable Modem

Ping usually <20
Loss usually <.2%

FPS
In San or isolated tower 150+
Moderate activity - 40-50
Zerg - Who knows 0-15 with lots of chop

Settings
Low detail levels, 1024 res, 128 texture buffer
Highest bandwidth setting

Misc Info

I realy have no idea you should be getting better zerg FPS than that, though eery thing else looks to be in line, try getting the newest drivers.

One thing i have found is mak you page file a static size, i have 1600 mb spread over 2 drives, and windows is not allower to resize it of make it samaller based on useage liek a regular page file thats size is betweem a maximum and a minimum. This gave me an up to 10 fps boost

I changed it to a static 2048 and it did wonders! Thanks for the pointer!
