I'll make this brief. Decimator moves to AV and has its damage reduced to 350. Thumper and Rocklet Rifle move to Heavy Assault.

Problem solved.

Decimator's completely inappropriate placement outside of AV, for one.

Also, a 3 cert skill that nets you 4 weapons is a bit... odd.

edit: this change would drive the number of vehicles way up, also. The killer NC template, at present, has no room for vehicles.

I disagree. I like the Decimator being moved to AV idea but the thumper, radiator, and rocket rifle should remain special assault. Otherwise, what you basically got for 7 certs you now get for 4. HA is powerful enough without throwing in a few other powerful weapons into the mix.

Just MHO.

I agree with moving the deci, I dont think it needs a damage change however and I think other then that SA is fine.

I think things are fine the way they are except for the deci being just a tad bit too powerful against maxes.

Its called special assault for a reason, there not eveyday weapons you would think of. When you think of a game involving vehicles both land and air along with infantry what pops into your head is a basic anti-vehicle weapon and a basic heavy infantry gun will be included. The thumper for example combines all those uses, why not put it in the av catagorie then? Or better yet leave it as it is becuse it is a combined assault weapon for "special" purposes.

The Decimator is the balance to the MAX unit in game. If I can go get a MAX cert for 3 points, why the hell can't I get a Decimator for 3 points?

All those SA guys (me!) will be angry if they move deci's to AV. SA provides a good round mix of weapons, you got an AP weapon (Thumper), an AV weapon (Deci), and a scarier than shit gun (Rocklet) (how many times have you flyboys run from a barage of rocklet fire, not knowing what the hell it was? c'mon, admit it). SA is a Jack-of-all-trades cert, is can do everything, but excells at nothin', without practice. If you take away the deci's it looses that jack-of-all-trades appeal.
