Vanu MAX Special?!


If a Vanu MAX has jumpjets..Could it possibly land on an air vehicle? Such as a skeeter or a galaxy? If so would it just clip right through (Please god no!) or slide off as the galaxy moves, I dont mean gradual sliding I mean like staying in the same X & Y coordinates while the vehicle moved beneath it. But IF IT COULD STICK could it just aim down and blast away at the roof? Please answer.

It can't fly, it just has little boosters that hop it up a little. Nothing special. I have to say that it probably would really dick up whatever vehicle it hit. If it didnt destroy the max and vehicle, you'd probably get physics like in BF1942.

That is a very good question. Could extra MAXs sit on top of a galaxy during transport?

I can picture it now, a whole platoon of MAXs riding into battle on top of mosquitos.

That'd be cool if you could get half a dozen MAXes to ride on top of a Galaxy, then have em jump off over the enemy base. It'd sure be an impressive sight to see all that heavy armor raining from the sky

Doubtful, specifically because it'd be a major advantage for the Vanu if their MAX's could all jump up on Galaxies. It circumvents the transportation maximum of two (I think) MAX units per Galaxy.

For that matter, why cant ANYONE just jump (if no jumping, fall from a higher elevation) and land on the roof of a vehicle?

If both people and vehicles have accurate quality collison detection it would only make sence that a person would have the same quality of CD as a Galaxy im sure you could land on it but staying there would be extremely difficult .As with most games ever made including those like BF1942 your able to stand on moving vehicles in a limeted fashion,and seeing that the gaming industry seems to follow certain standards etc ,Im 80% positive you could stand on top of a galaxy ,but when it takes off or is moving you would do that shimmy shake right off

It'll be like BF1942 for sure. No Galaxy riding. And no, the TR MAX wouldn't really make a difference. It's not like there are actual spikes that stick into whatever. It just locks your movement controls, accelerates your weapon's rate of fire, and limits your turning radius. You're still just as vulnerable to sliding off a Galaxy as you would be if you were any other MAX.

Im not sure this helps, but we do know that people and vehciles do damage one another when they colide, as well there was a post ages ago about DFA and it was said that it was not possiable, with the exception of a MAX hitting you. So we might assume a MAX landing on a vehicle like a plane would do some damage, but not blow it up, but it might hurt the max if it does not land strait on it but like at an angle. I dont think a MAX could stay on a vehicle though, maybe a TR with clamp on a Galaxy, but thats also iffy me thinks.

so if the TR MAX can't actually lock its position (by way of holding onto the ground), then what makes it so that i can't get behind one in a basilisk and push it slowly/quickly (whatever i can do) along with it being my shield/turret
