You should be able to with air. But Deliverers eventually sink, same with vehicles with the hover capability (yes, it's true, they DO go under).

Magrider/Thresher/Deliverer used to sink in beta after a certain amount of time, but people could go off bridges into the water and they wouldnt sink, so they removed it.

PS, most manuals/strat guides are VERY outdated.....

Heh, I thought about going "Lindbergh" one time in my misquito to see if it would work. Kinda seemed to me like it should work, we have aircraft that can fly and vehicles that can float/hover on water, so why not?

No, they DON'T sink after a certain amount of time.

What you're seeing is "Power Failure". Ever notice how your vehicles don't have a gas tank? That's because they run on the nanite energy (theoretically). However, once you go past a certain distance from the coast, you begin to receive power-loss errors.

This happens with any vehicle that goes beyond a certain point. Air vehicles lose power and crash unless you turn them around. Deliverers and hover-technology vehicles lose power and simply shut down, and then they sink. If you stay within bounds of the continent, you should be fine, ALL DAY.

And for the record I think Lodestars and Galaxies should be able to move between continents, and possibly Mosquitos, Liberators, and Reavers *IF* they were configured with nanite drop-tanks that powered the craft beyond the power-sphere.

Your mag sunk while trying to cross a continent because it got to the edge of the continents zone. When you get out that far your vehicle will be destroyed.

You can't cross the water to different continents because their has to be some way to load the next continent you're going to. I suppose they could put borders along the zones and just load the continent you're crossing the border to. However, that would create camping issues. Reavers would just patrol the borders looking for vehicles to destroy before the pilot had fully loaded into the continent.

Besides, the limitation on travel that the warpgates provide sort of creates a strategic element to continental control.
