And then you promptly appealed them, right? Or did you just let them carry on? The few crossteamers that exist to ruin things generally don't last long. Of the few crossteamers I ever saw, each I appealed, and each disappeared. They may be helping my side, but it's a game, it's suppose to be fair, and you're no better than they are if you stand by and let them continue to cheat.
As for this happening in PS, it's doubtful. There'll be some around at first, but once they get appealed by their own Faction, their numbers will dwindle. And then, the people who make plans on each server will begin to understand the importance of secrecy. People will, for example, be informed that an attack will take place at a certain time. Only when people are there and ready to move is the target announced. And if possible, at a fork in the road, the attack plan may be changed to another target along the same path. If there was a spy there the entire time, he may have actually
hurt his home Faction's defense capability by unintentionally misleading him. All of that Faction's defenses would be waiting at a base that wasn't even going to be attacked, and the base would likely be taken before defenders could arrive. After a few deceptions, people would rely less and less on inside information, and more on their own capability. Thus, the problem becomes minimal as time progresses.
