Teamkillers on Emerald

My friend was just playing on Emerald as Vanu when he encountered two extreme teamkillers. He was in ANT trying to fill fill up a base that was at 10% when these guys started tking him. Names were Shaefer and Necromantica. One of them shot the ANT down to 50% with his mossie first, and then waited for the other guy to start filling. My friend jumped out quickly as he could and started filling the base, then the teamkillers just shot the other ANT to bits. And they said something like, we were first and whatnot. Damn that so friggin annoying!

That attitude belongs in 1st grade, not in a game.

With these "team-mates", who needs enemies?

I told my friend to report them and he did, also did an appeal myself just in case.

I've seen many instances of griefing against friendly ANTs. The reason it happens is because it's so easy to do and the penalty is so light.

If griefers can further drive out players, the lack of response by the CSRs will become the chief source of attrition.

Once when werner collasped under the strain a few of my outfit went over to emerald TR. Some turkey started shooting me in the back in the spawn room while i was setting a favourite. The fucker got a surprise when my little emerald newbie charachter suddenly suited up in a AI max and sent him a tell saying "you stupid little child..."
He ran out of the spawn at full speed without even collecting his armour and weapons even although I made no move to shoot the little tool

The reason for his actions? Becasue my charachter is called

It is unfortunate, but it happens. And it is all empires and servers. However, in my opinion, it has become more pronounced since the server merger. For example, we were fighting another empire the other day (i am not being specific to keep the focus on the problem). We were just about to push the enemy out of their last few bases and lock their home cont. During one particularly big battle, our spawn tubes went down and I noticed multiple TKs. Ran to the spawn room to find an individual destroying the equipment terminals (tubes were blown) and several bodies lying around. He turned and began firing on me, but at that moment, 4 or 5 other guys ran in, so he took off. It was an obvious attempt to sabatouge the base. Sad, but true example of some of the problems that the server merger has brought (I had never seen this type of behavior before).

I always /appeal people for doing this kind of stuff, but I really don't think they even look at these issues. I have yet to receive even a single form letter response from SOE for the appeals I have put in. I very much doubt they even bother to police this stuff in game. Heck, we had a CR5 using global spam on Christmas night to argue that the **** killed Jesus. I was really surprised that SOE didn't jerk him quick, especially since this was Christmas and religion, but I guess nothing is too out of the park for SOE.

About the only true remedy you have in game, is tk them back. Not a good answer, but the only one we are left with.

It was probably NCSpywity... either that or 0000, who told everyone in the Annwn caverns yesterday that he was an NC and a VS spy and got a global sent on his behalf.

true, all server have arseholes. It's the multiple empires on a server thats done it in my opinion. People like this monkey are becomming anoying.

i had a similar problem... i just spawned at a tower.. and a "friendly" shot me..
and then sends me a tell stating that im not The OnLy OnE...
hes on my buddy list.. i kill every time i see him..

I had two asshats try and destroy my ant because I beat them back to the base the other night.

They died quickly...

Server merge = bigger battles, more crashes, more tkers cause you can have 2 empires. I liked having 4 servers.

Its not the server merge thats making more TK's, as it wouldent be possible (You change empires, get 1000 greif, change back..what, you still have 1000 greif? Yup.)
it is the 7 day free trials: Greifers keep makeing them again and again, we need to have CSR's check everyone that gets 1000+ greif, see if they had any appeals on them, and then see if its a a 7 day trial account, and ban that IP adress

Hate to tell ya this but it is relatively easy to spoof an IP address if you even have half a clue as how to do it.

Yea last night TR almost ended up with a neutral base because some idiot kept TKing ants.

One thing I've noticed about Markov VS is that we don't put up with team killers. On several occasions I've seen team killers get jumped by everyone around. Everytime the idiot respawns about 10 guys are waiting for him and people take turns wasting the piece of shit until he quits. Not much else you can do about it but /appeal or police yourselves with the afore mentioned tactic.

Worst case ever: Yesterday NC kept TKing for the LLU after a four hour fight for it at Gunuku.

It probably switched hands 5 times before someone got away without being TKed.
