Question Connection problems

I'm having problems where I will get a "stopped recieving packet" message that never recovers or a message that says "connection lost". I have DSL, LINKSYS DSL Router, Norton Antivirus Corp. version, Zone Alarm Pro. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Dowload the latest firmware for your router. Routers are often the cause of stuff like this. It will take like 30 secs if you know what you are doing. If you don't they usually give detailed instructions with it and it won't take that long. You can find this at your manufacturers homepage.

Hope that works for you

If not it might possibly be your ISP.

Misc Info

Ps must be havign server problesm aLOT of people have been getting sporatic connection error messages. Your seems a bit more than that, try going direc withough the router and see if that helps, if not then its your modem or isp (we had a bad modem, tey will never admit that its there problem untill you drive it into the fools at tech suport*)

* disclaimer: not all companies have bad tech suport just most of them

I finally got it fixed. I still loose connection every once in awhile but I don't get kicked all the way out anymore. I re-downloaded the fireware for my Linksys router (for the second time), and had to make expert rules for my firewall. I also edited my start up and only let essential programs load. So far so good. Hope this can help everyone else that is have problems.
