The game encourages spying by allowing people from enemy empires to send tells to each other. It would be a true bitch to coordinate spying without tells.

i disagree. It should only be disallowed within an SOI. We tried to have a VS Outfit vs TR Outfit battle today on Cyssor but some jerkface NCs broke it up with reavers, tanks, etc.

Without tells we couldnt have arranged the Outfit battle and we couldnt have told to NC to get f*** themselves (which they didnt, we just all suicided and went elsewhere).

This whould serve no point, in fact additionaly i think there aughta be a sort of broadcast local that goes to all empires.

The reasons for this are two fold.

1) There are too many out of game options for communcation to make any limitations placed on game speak have any point at all.

2) The vast majority of people use the /t cross empires to some degree of legitimacy, either for planned battles, to compliment or flame or what not.

Squads of enemy empires shouldn't be organizing anything. They're enemies.

Hamma is right (naturally).

Spies will make Outfit Base Ownership a living nightmare for many, and have been the death of countless friendly generators and spawn rooms.

Besides, the craven little chickenshits that get a kick out of betraying and TKing their buddies don't deserve satisfaction.
