Ok, so we all know adv medics need some love, it's one of the least certed abilities in the game IIRC, so heres my idea.
The biggest problem is when you die, you have no idea if there's a medic nearby, if he really cares about rezing you, or if he even thinks it's possible. So, when you die, a message should pop up on the screen telling you who the closest medic is, how far away they are, and where you are in line. This would float above the release button until you release and update continually. Then, on the medics screen, a message pops up saying so and so has died, and a number appears on the map at his position. Each medic would cap out at maybe four people in line and then it would go to the next closest medic Now, under the medics map (default of course) a little list would show the patients name, number and distance. When a medic gets a new patient, he can send one of three prebound messages to the new corpse, possibly bound to his numpad. He can customize them, but presumably most peoples would go something along the lines of 1. I'll be right there, don't release 2. I'll never make it, just release 3. It could take a while, your call on releasing Some more minor tweaks would be to up the efficency for adv medics and bump the rez requirements down to 20 instead of 25, er medic stuff. Questions, comments, flames?

I like it I just think it whould be hard to implement, what I think whould be easier is.
No more stamina loss on revive and No more implant loss on revive. Throw in the ability to drag corpses and you have a viable cert option.

A fine idea. As it stands, it's a gamble with poor odds to lie around waiting for a medic. Even if a medic notices you, you've got to survive while both of you are helpless, and then while he heals and repairs your armor after you're up, and then again while your stamina recovers.
Adv. Medics may be proving a quandary beyond the ken of the devs. Let's hope they prove me wrong.

Wouldn't be that hard, the only thing it would really do is keep track of distance and add an extra comm channel. Most of the functionality is already there in another form, the binds are just macros, the list/numbering works alot like a squad, ect. Most of the stuff could be handled client side so it wouldn't add to much load to the servers.
Activiting implants or restoring stamina would be nice, but it still doesn't fix the problem, when your lying on the ground you have no idea wether anyone cares or even knows your there.

I guess we just disagree on the biggest problem facing advanced medics, i believe that the biggest problem with utilizing them is theres just no real benefit to it.

I still say it would be cool if the Medical Applicator could store your squadmates' matrix patterns. Then, when the medic aimed the Applicator at a matrixing panel, it would transfer all the patterns to that AMS/facility. Further, when those squadmates spawned at that facility, there would be a significant reduction in the time it would take to spawn.
Also, for God's sake, let the Applicator activate implants on the target. So fair, yet so cool.

Now that you can potentially respawn in 7 seconds, releasing instantly is a -far- quicker ticket to being alive at full life, stamina and armor. Not to mention being right next to an equipment terminal.
In many cases, getting killed is not so bad. It's like a free ride to somewhere else that might be an even cooler place to be. Adv Medics need something more than ressurection to be worth it. Naturally, there's a squad of solid Adv Medics out there, each of whom can rez and be rezzed by everyone else. They use Teamspeak and are ungodly lethal. This is by no means the standard by which the cert should be judged.

I do have to agree. I like the idea. I mean some peeps will sit there and spam that they need a med for 15 mins and they are sitting under a tank or out in the middle of a fire fight. I'm not going to run out there and get my ass shot off. I also hate when you put it out on the channels that you are around and peeps are respawning right in front of you. Check the map people. The adv meds show up there. I think they should show up on dead peeps maps even when they don't have the applicator out, or flash it on the screen that there is an adv med in the area.
That would get it known. If they made the no stamina loss for a revive in there, that would help reviving get used more. Most peeps don't like to have to stand around waiting on stamina and armor. Wolf |

Normally, if I die and there are multiple Terrans coming through, lets say, a door to an enemy base, I will sit there and just spam "WE need a medic!" for a couple of minutes. About 70% of the time I do get a revive.
Medics do have that + thing for them to see all who have died and haven't released yet. It's imperitive that the Medics though, get to the MAX units during a zerg, because they will offer the best chance of mowing down infantry.
