ok, they are going to make outfit owned bases have more stuff. like more firepower for defence, and stuff like (maybe). so, whats keeping an outfit from doing this:
a link just opened up to the base, and the tower just got hacked. then the flails open up, and tanks start camping on the hill to the west, raining shells on the veh pad. oh no, the base is a gonner, BUT WAIT! THERES MORE! suddley, when all hope is lost, from the spawn rooms runs AN OUTFIT LEADER! using he super powers, he transforms the base from a death trap to a mighty fortress! with cannons that shoot OS'es! the attacking forces are obliterated! the day is won! thanks to the outfit leader, who, after the battle, UNowns the base and heads off to save the day at the next base. now, what to do to combat this? (leave your comments here ______________) |

Don't mind Jagd. Judging by all the replies I've read from him within the last 20 minutes I've been home, he's been doing some flaming/trolling. About your question, the only time an Outfit can "unown" a base is when the base is captured by another empire. Besides, if all of that stuff you mentioned was in the game, it would probably cost a lot of Outfit points. Probably too much to waste for a 10 minute fight.

I dont know if this will work.
The way I see it, some outfit will buy a base and beef it up and for an hour or two they'll own it and it'll kick ass. Then some zerg will kill it and take it over and all those hard-earned outfit points are *POOF* gone. However on the flip side, if a big outfit owns a base and buys EVERYTHING for it, then it'd be almost impossible to take over. Anyone have an explination for me on this? Maybe I just didn't read an article and all this has been answered already, got me.

I seem to recall they (the devs) mentioned something about reducing the size of outfits at the same time. They also talked about the joys of alliances.
Hmm, wonder how this is going to work out?

Yes, your will earn less OPs per player if your outfit has more than 200 ppl. That's what the in-concept says anyways, it could change. Hopefully they make it a bit more of a sliding scale than just above or below 200 otherwise it could seriously mess with the leaderboards.

I wonder what they'll do if NC forces the other empires into their sanc and uses OBO and alliances to lock them there.
