i unfortunatly already submited my 3 questions, but i had a 4th pop up, why do the devs not want people to edit the planetside files to make the game run better?

You might need to be a bit more specific, i.e. which files, in what way do they make PS run better, etc.

Security could be one issue, but another major issue is that if a bunch of people start changing their files, and then have problems, they come to SOE to fix them. If everyone is working on a version that everyone else is working on, then it's a lot easier to diagnose and fix problems.
