I was in Emerald on Ish a wile ago, and the VS were going on a Zerg orgy, and we could never push them back because they had that one god damn flail that would hide behind 4 magriders...it was insane, i managed to unload a whole reaver rocket clip on the thing in a suicide run, and it didnt stop him! Crazy!

[Edit] I wasnt even near where the flail burst hit and it kept killing me! No where near

Flail is great. If you do the work to get a vehicle module, you deserve something worthy.

Granted, I don't see a lot of Flails out there, because people blow up the modules just about as quickly as they emerge from the caverns, but it adds a lot to the game. The sound of those incoming volleys gets the blood pumping. Flail has already been nerfed and buffed in its brief existence, and I think the current incarnation is pretty close to perfect. I can honestly say that I've used a Vanguard like a Flail before, and kicked some major ass with it, so Flail is just a Vanguard-proxy that every empire can enjoy.

Besides, a Flail-n00b isn't going to be very deadly with the Flail. It's the keystone of a solid teamwork strategy and a fine addition to the game.

well i have to agree too....i just dont like the splash area on it...i was no where near those bursts and i got killed many times

You lost becasue you like HaloPC. Repent your Halo sins at once and return in asap. I did, and I am a better man for it.


Apart from your Halo *spit* sig, I agree with you. It takes about a full rexo payload of AV to kill one of those suckers.
If it was the VS you were fighing, think yourself lucky there was only one flail
We lack artillery abilities in our tanks, so we love our flails

my only beef with the flail is the fact that it says we can fire an ammo free charge to see where our shot would land but as far as i know i can only fire normal shots

They devs said that they had thought about the scouting shot and decided not to implement it to force the use of laser pointers.

But how does that help the Flail to work? I haven't seen anyone use it yet :/

I love ramping the Flail on a boulder so I can hit targets at point-blank.

That thing is Stress Management in one vehicle.

I actually use the flail all the time. Though I usually end up guesstimating where to put the shots base on the SL waypoint rather than try to find someone willing to laze for me. When I start getting more grief than kills I find a new target

I thought the Flail had a "scout" shot, like a Decimator camera, so you can watch it fall, and you will know where you have landed your shot?

Nothing wronge with it, except i hate it when i'm up on a mountian sniping a base and not drawing attention to myself when a damn flail come and parcks next to me, thats a death sentance, becasue now everyone's gona be looking for the flail and will see me to.
