planetside Launches!!!!!

hey guys i had a problem with asheron's call2.infact ive had it for 2 months and haven't even played it one time,yet i got charged a month of service. I was really dissapointed by that game and I pray that planetside launches smoothly. It would be crappy if we all bought the game and had to run it with out sound because of a bug. I wonder why microsoft shipped ac2 with so many flaws and how sony's gonna keep this launch smooth??

Probably just pushed it out as fast as they could, I have faith in the Sony team. You can bet that they will not let it launch if it isn't good to go. I'm sure it will not be perfect when it is released, will always be some bug fixes to implement!

I think much of will come from Sony's experience with EQ. That, and the fact the if there's a huge problem, we're going to sic our l33t whores loose on the dev team.

Sony has a lot more experience than the big M in MMO games. 'Sides I already l got their addresses and I'm holding their pets hostage. The PSU l33t whore division doesn't play around...

For MMOGs theres a lot of competition and comparison. The first comparison and competetion lies in the actual game quality, the second is the launch. If you have a good launch, then that's basically like mooning your competitors in the MMOG genre.

well i'm willing to wait an extra year if I have to for a smooth launch. I don't think I've ever been so dissappointed by a game then when I bought AC2 and it never even worked a bug or two is no big deal I just want to be able to play the game.

I think it'll be a smooth launch. PS is far less complex than most MMOGs out there, having only a PvP system and no loot or economy or what have you to worry about. I'm sure they'll understand how absolutely critical it is that they have a fairly decent launch also, so while there'll be some imbalances for a while, I suspect that there won't be any truly major issues when the game is finally released.

I think it got rushed with the bugs for a couple of reasons.... Dark Age of Camelot: shrouded Isles was getting ready for a release (The expansion to DAOC ... great game BTW).... and with EQ2 in development they were probably hoping to rope in as many gamers that had to have the latest and greatest..... then get the players established so they wouldn't leave.... just my 2 cents on that matter.... PS will release fine.... if it doesn't have any probems I would be suprised... but i don't expect them to have any show stoppers.

Hmm really I didn't seem to notice to many problems with the game of course I much rather play ps than it right now though.
