is itworth getting core combat?? i dont have much money so i want to know if it is worth getting CC as i can get a job to get money to buy it then jack the job in.but i want to know ur oppions first.also wat do you get new in the exspansion??

id say dont buy it. no one goes in the caverns and i dont ever use the new wepons or vehicles. it was a waste of $30 for me.

I have it, so I'm gonna suggest getting it.

Plus, you haven't really played PS until you've called down the thunder on your foes with the mighty Flail.

The caverns are a challenge to learn, but that's what we play for, right? A challenge.

Well I have CC if the new updates the devs are talking about go through as planned I say get it. but hold on to your money till the updates go through and if you actually hear people in sanc talking about going in the caverns you'll know to get it.

Depends, the Caverns do suck a bit but the CC weapons are pretty sweet.

If you don't have the money don't get it but....say you spend a bit over $100 bucks at the bar on a Friday and Saturday and somtimes on Thursday.......and then there's is Karaoke Wednesdays...and Wings on Tuesdays...and I can't think of a better way to kick off a Monday...but the point is $30 is not that much money for something you can use over and over again concidering the amount of money your going to spend in a lifetime anyhow.

This has been hashed and rehashed and rehashed. The reason CC was not and is not succesfull is because there is no compelling reason to go there. Everybody that was in beta knows that CC friken rocked so much that there really arent words to describe it. It is people like myself and others that can see the amazing potential that CC had. I wish that when I play planetside my outfit would go down there or at least have a reason to do special ops down there.

Problems with CC that make it not worth buying:

1) Currently 1 or 2 solo guys can get all the modules you need in about 5 minutes. It is no problem to get control of the buildings because you arent going to get any resistance anyways. I have never seen more than 10 people in a cave since release

2) AT weapons are not available from an AMS and are rarely available from a base. Even when they are available they cannot be recharged on the surface and as we know, there is no fighting in the caves anyway. People would like to use the maelstrom and the spiker and perhaps strats for the radiator could develop if you had any reason to believe that you might actually get to purchase them from an equip term. Basically people use favorites and thats it. If AT cant be in your favorites with any consistancy, then its no good

3) No reason to go in and hold the caves. Right now there are no structures worth fighting for in the caves. This is the biggest of all the problems. I know that Sony was walking a fine line where they could not create a role so important that it would force everyone to buy CC or not be able to participate, but something nearly that important needs to happen. I think the capitol buildings for cont domination need to be in the caves

4) Get rid of the timers and cave rotations. You cant have these if you want permanant structures in the caves that matter and that is exactly what you need

5) You cannot HART into the caves and you cannot instant action into the caves. Need I say more?

It cost �15 for Core Combat?! I never knew that! mmmm...I might consider it now. I mean I always did like the Flail, and I had not once seen anyone use a Switchblade which gathering from the VR vehicle handling it's an Aircrafts worse nightmare incarnated, and the God of all those who hate flying-piloted-thingys-that-brings-death-when-your-out-in-open-running
